Planning to continue studying abroad? Of course you need a certificate of English proficiency, either IELTS or TOEFL. Well, there are indeed many institutions that provide these tests. But, not all certificates issued by the institution can be used for all the needs you want.
There are some certificates that can be used for scholarships and general activities, but some are only for public activities.

1. British Council
This institution is guaranteed, guys, to test our ability to speak English in IELTS. British Council itself is appointed directly by ETS (the official institution that manages IELTS from the United States).
For the cost itself, you need Rp2.9 million for a test at the British Council. The test is also held three to four times every month in various cities in Indonesia. Check the info at indonesia.ielts.britishcouncil.org
2. International Education Specialists (IDP)
IDP is also one of the institutions officially appointed by ETS. You can also take the test in various cities in Indonesia. Regarding costs, it depends on the version you take.
There are no different fees for Academic and General Training. If IELTS costs USD 215 or around IDR 2.9 million, IELTS for UKVI costs USD 288 or around IDR 3.8 million, and IELTS Life Skills is USD 222 or around IDR 3 million.
3. International Test Center (ITC)
ITC was also appointed directly by ETS in conducting the test. In this institution, the iBT-based test is held every month. Usually done on weekends. The cost you need is 190 USD or around Rp. 2.5 million. Check the info at itc-indonesia.com
4. University of Indonesia Language Institute
This campus is also the official institution for the TOEFL test from ETS. You can take the test at Building X Lt.1 Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Depok or at the Old Rectorate Building, UI Campus, Salemba. Here too, not only the TOEFL test, but also the IELTS. Check the website at lbifib.ui.ac.id
5. International Language Programs (ILP)
This institution is also official, but only in a few branches can it be. For example ILP Bintaro, ILP Veteran, and ILP Cikini.
